Enjoying a pint of ice cream without the added guilt is about to get a whole lot easier because Enlightened Ice Cream is getting the keto treatment. The low-calorie ice cream brand just announced its plans to release an all-new line of keto ice cream that will contain less than 1 gram of sugar and 1 gram net carbs per serving.
“Enlightened’s core belief is that everyone should be able to enjoy ice cream,” Michael Shoretz, Enlightened’s CEO and founder, said in a statement. “We recognize that there are many paths to achieving a healthier lifestyle, so we are constantly working on new products and collections to satisfy a wide variety of nutritional needs . . . we’re excited to bring great-tasting ice cream to the rapidly growing keto community.”
Enlightened’s keto line will be available in seven pint flavors (Butter Pecan, Chocolate Glazed Donut, Coffee & Cream, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Mint Chocolate Chunk, Peanut Butter Fudge, and Red Velvet) and four bar flavors (Dark Chocolate, Marshmallow Peanut Butter, Mint Chocolate Chip, and Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip). Each one will be sweetened with erythritol, which is also used to sweeten Halo Top ice cream, and monk fruit.
The Keto Collection pints are now available to shop over at EatEnlightened.com and in stores, while the bars will roll out this Fall. Read ahead to get a look at the flavors to come.
