Recently my daughter went to the traditional end of middle school eighth grade dance. This dance is typically a semi formal occasion in our area which some teens have nicknamed the “8th grade Prom” or “eighth grade graduation.” This dance is the last celebration before entering High School as a Freshman!
She wanted a half up half down hairstyle with braids, so this is what we came up with. We have combined french braids, lace braids, feather braids, and a loop braid technique to create a delicate braided crown design. This hairstyle is fairly simple and classic, yet eye catching and elegant. Truly a “Princess Hairstyle” that could be worn for many special occasions: Communions, Homecoming, Prom, church, recitals, graduation, weddings (both for brides or flower girls hairstyles) etc.
