Selena Gomez Prioritizes Her Mental Health at Home With This Soothing Self-Care Routine

During this challenging time, Selena Gomez is encouraging fans to “take a break” and focus on their mental health. The “Rare” singer teamed up with Instagram on May 19 to talk about her own self-care routine, with an emphasis on how she prioritizes mental health on a day-to-day basis.

Gomez is incredibly open about her own mental health journey, and recently shared that she has bipolar disorder. She acknowledges that “there isn’t really one way to get through all of this, or even tackle mental health in general,” but she finds daily dialectical behavioral therapy worksheets to be a helpful way of addressing her internal questions.

In addition to therapy, Gomez also finds joy in her creative outlet: music. She writes and records from her makeshift studio, as evidenced by her cute at-home selfies. Gomez also enjoys spending time with her dog Daisy, going for evening walks to “get rid of the day,” and curling up with her heating pad. She’ll set a peaceful tone in her room with sprays or a candle, journal a bit, and turn off her electronics.
