Anyways, the Eren yeager hairstyle we’ll be creating in this video is based on the manga drawings and fan art that I’ve found floating around on the internet.
So for anyone new, I’m Thomas, I’m a hairstylist and I make hair videos on YouTube… Wow what a surprise.
I did do a style like this about 3 years ago which I named the halfway man bun which a lot of you may have already seen and to be honest, the only difference between now and then is at the time I had no freaking clue who Eren Yeager was and this was not my desired goal unlike it is now.
Haha I actually did that previous hairstyle to help me look less stupid during the awkward stages of hair growth.
Which brings me to my next point, yes, I’m currently on my second hair growth journey.
The first time I grew my hair out I grew it out from a disconnected undercut to a full man bun and this time around I completely shaved my head right here on this channel and announced that I’d be starting all over again and just recently I’ve decided that this Eren Yeager hairstyle that I’ll be showing you today is actually my new hair goal.

Now, enough chit chat.
When I first looked at this Eren Yeager hairstyle, I was super in love with how distressed & edgy the style looked but I started getting a little bit confused at how exactly this style would work in on a real life person because the loose bits that hang around his neck look incredibly short but yet he’s able to do a man bun still?
I found it puzzling because in my experience, to have a nice looking man bun you need a decent amount of length in your hair otherwise you just look like a spring onion. And to realistically achieve this style, you actually need a shorter layer or undercut put into the back while the upper layer remains long.
So the two mannequin heads featured in this video are named Chad & Dylan.
Both have very similar length hair and when their hair is down they almost look like they have the same haircut except what I’ve gone & done to Chad’s hair is cut that short layer into the back, so when he feels like rocking the Eren hairstyle, all he has to do is pull the top layer up which will reveal those shorter layers whilst still allowing the bun to look nice and full.
I personally like Chad’s version of the Eren Hairstyle much better not only because it looks more Eren like.
The cut makes this hairstyle so much more versatile because he can easily hide the layer if he wants to by letting his hair down or he can even tie it into a low man bun and you’d never even know his hair was a different length under there.
